How ProTriPlans works
Our triathlon training plan service is designed to help athletes of all levels achieve their goals with a personalized, structured, and goal-oriented approach. Whether you’re preparing for your first sprint triathlon or aiming to set a personal best at an Ironman, our service tailors every aspect of your training to your unique needs and circumstances.
Step 1: Athlete questionnaire
The process starts with a detailed questionnaire where we gather essential information about your current fitness levels, experience in swimming, cycling, and running, as well as any past injuries or concerns. We also learn about your schedule, preferred training volume, and specific race goals. This ensures the training plan aligns seamlessly with your lifestyle, maximizing your ability to stay consistent and committed.
Step 2: Creating your plan
Once we understand your needs we use proven principles to design a phased training program. This typically includes a Base Phase to build endurance and technique, a Build Phase to increase intensity and introduce race-specific workouts, and a Peak & Taper Phase to fine-tune performance and prepare you for race day. Each week is carefully structured to balance swim, bike, run, and strength training sessions, with strategically placed rest days to support recovery and prevent overtraining.
We also prioritize personalization. If you’ve highlighted concerns like past injuries or scheduling constraints, we adapt the plan to address them. For example, if you’re managing plantar fasciitis, we include appropriate recovery protocols and adjust volume to avoid flare-ups. If you have limited time on certain days, we structure shorter, high-quality sessions to fit your availability without compromising results.
After your personal plan has been created, it's then check and verified by one of our coaches to make sure it aligns to your needs and our high standards.
Step 3: Getting your plan
Our plans emphasize clarity and practicality. Sent to you via email as a downloadable PDF, each training phase includes a week-by-week breakdown with daily workout details. We provide warm-ups, main sets, and cool-downs for every session, specifying training zones and intensities to ensure effectiveness. Strength sessions are included to build resilience and reduce injury risk.
Step 4: Setting you up
After receiving your plans, you'll get that chance to ask any follow-up questions or further details over the following 48 hours.
